AuditTrace Labs

Data Forensics · IT Investigations · System Integrity · AI Evidence Engineering

AuditTrace helps individuals, small businesses and organizations investigate technical problems, examine available evidence, understand system changes and make informed decisions.

Lineage without surveillance.

Layers of configuration, relationships, artifacts and the record of change.
  • Configuration
  • Relationships
  • Artifacts
  • Record of change
Preserve the context needed to examine a system change. Missing evidence and uncertainty remain part of the record.

Technical problems deserve a reviewable explanation.

IT investigations

Investigate unexplained technical problems, configuration changes, access concerns and device or software behavior. Review what the available records support and what remains uncertain.

Digital forensics and data preservation

Scope the question, examine authorized digital artifacts and preserve relevant records with acquisition context, provenance and handling notes. Recovery feasibility is assessed before any recovery work is proposed.

System integrity and authorized security assessment

Review configurations, compare system states and assess a defined security question on systems you own or are explicitly authorized to test. Any changes require an agreed scope and approval.

AI evidence readiness

Review proposed information sources, retrieval boundaries, permissions, validation questions and human approval requirements. Scope and deliverables are agreed before work begins.

Current services and developing technology

Inquiry-based investigation, preservation, system-integrity and AI evidence-readiness work is scoped individually. Acceptance and deliverables are agreed before an engagement begins.

Our AI evaluation tools, AI Operating Passport and preservation software remain in development. They are not offered here as production-qualified software or independently certified products.

Evidence before conclusions

We document the question, relevant system state, available artifacts, comparisons and limitations. A checksum can support a byte-integrity check; it does not establish authenticity, completeness, cause or attribution by itself.

Available evidence, authorization, technical fit and capacity determine what can be investigated. We do not guarantee data recovery, breach attribution, a particular finding, legal admissibility or certification.

Start with a clear question.

Tell us what happened, what systems you are authorized to discuss, and what you need to understand. Send a short general inquiry first. Do not send credentials or sensitive evidence.
