Checklist

AI Source-Boundary Checklist.

Use this before a scope call to define the first workflow, approved sources, exclusions, owners, approvers, and later-review concern.

1. Workflow

What business process should the AI support first?

2. Approved sources

What source classes should the AI use for that workflow?

3. Exclusions

What must stay out of scope?

4. Owner and approver

Who owns the source boundary and who approves activation?

5. Validation questions

What questions should pass, and what should refuse or escalate?

6. Later-review need

What will you need to prove later if the AI workflow expands or fails?

Safe-use note

Describe classes, not secrets.

Use general descriptions: “maintenance SOPs,” “client folders,” “pricing approvals,” “HR files.” Do not paste confidential content, credentials, or regulated records into a first inquiry.

Next step

Bring this checklist into the intake form and AuditTrace will recommend whether to start with a Starter Workflow Audit, Department AI Evidence Audit, RAG Evidence Readiness review, or partner package.
