Terms for using this website.
These terms cover the website itself. Work AuditTrace Labs actually performs is governed by the scope agreed in writing for that engagement, not by this page.

1. Using this site
You are welcome to read, link to and quote reasonable extracts from this site. Please do not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access to it or to systems connected with it, or place automated load on it beyond ordinary reading. The inquiry form is rate-limited for that reason.
2. What is published here is general information
The material on this site about data forensics, system-state preservation, evidence integrity, security research, laboratory research, technical methods, AI and decision context, evidence readiness and the AuditTrace Labs program is general technical information.
It is not a forensic conclusion about your systems, your evidence or your situation. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in your jurisdiction. Reaching a conclusion about a specific matter requires examining that matter, under an agreed scope, with the evidence that actually exists.
Descriptions of what AuditTrace Labs can undertake describe capability. They are not a binding offer and not a guarantee of any particular technical, business, legal or regulatory outcome. What we do and do not promise is set out on Promises and limits.
3. Getting in touch
Sending an inquiry does not create a client relationship or any obligation on either side. A working relationship begins only when we have both agreed a scope in writing.
In particular, submitting an inquiry does not mean that:
- AuditTrace Labs has accepted a matter
- any evidence has been reviewed, validated, or preserved
- AuditTrace Labs has agreed to preserve or retain anything on your behalf
- a forensic conclusion has been reached
- an attorney-client or other privileged relationship exists
- any particular outcome has been undertaken
Please do not send passwords, authentication credentials, private keys, access tokens, sensitive evidence, full evidence collections or unnecessary confidential third-party information through the form or by ordinary email. Tell us that the material exists, and if the matter proceeds we will agree an appropriate handling method. The website accepts no file uploads.
4. Authorization
AuditTrace Labs performs forensic, preservation, system, device, account, data and security work only where appropriate authorization exists for the systems, accounts, devices, records or evidence involved. Establishing that authorization is part of agreeing scope, and it is not something we set aside because a matter is urgent or sympathetic.
Accordingly, please do not ask us to examine, access or preserve accounts, devices, credentials or data belonging to another person or organization without the lawful authority to do so, and please do not submit such material through this site.
5. What AuditTrace Labs is not
Nothing on this website presents AuditTrace Labs as a law-enforcement agency, a court, a prosecutor, a law firm, a regulator, an emergency service or a government cybercrime reporting center. If you are facing an emergency or an immediate threat, contact the appropriate authorities.
AuditTrace Labs does not claim professional licenses, certifications or accreditations, and does not describe its own work as certified.
6. Our content
The text, structure, diagrams and design of this site belong to AuditTrace Labs LLC. You may link to the site and quote reasonable extracts with attribution. Reproducing pages wholesale, or presenting this material as your own, is not permitted. The AuditTrace Labs name and logo are ours and may not be used to imply endorsement, partnership or certification.

7. Availability
We do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption or free of error, and content may change or be removed at any time. Where a published page is retired we generally redirect its address rather than break it, but we do not undertake to preserve every page indefinitely.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, AuditTrace Labs LLC is not liable for loss arising from use of this website or from reliance on the general information published here. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
